The Japanese gardens of the Emperors and nobles were designed for recreation and aesthetic pleasure, while the gardens of Buddhist temples were designed for contemplation and meditation.  This garden was designed for the latter. andyserrano.deviantart.com/art…

Chrissie, every rock and boulder was carefully chosen and consciously designed to be exactly where it is in this Japanese Garden.  The teahouse is on the right, but not visible from this vantage point.   andyserrano.deviantart.com/art…
