Drinking birds are toy heat engines that mimic the motions of a bird drinking from a fountain or other water source. They are also known as bobble, happy, dippy, dipping, drinking bobble birdie, tippy, tipping, Mr. dippy, sippy, sippy tippy, sipping, sippy-dip, dip-dip, dinking, dinky-dinky, or dunking birds. It is sometimes incorrectly considered a perpetual motion device.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces.
